WCF HANDS OVER MANTLE OF LEADERSHIP TO NEW EXCOS

Drama, comedy and music were among the mind-blowing presentations that themed the handing over/ induction service hosted by the Winners Corper Fellowship (WCF). The programme which was staged at the Teens department of Living Faith church, Bashorun, Ibadan, two days after the Collection of Certificates (COC) by the 2015 batch A corps members, was tagged "Light Bearers" and it featured a song presentation from the Redeemed Christian Corpers Fellowship (RCCF). Friends and well wishers graced the day to celebrate the ex corps members and out going executives who also recieved Certificates of honour from the fellowship. They were joyful and congratulated those who were appointed as the new executives of WCF. To sum up the wonderful service was a release of seasoned words that encouraged corps members to add value to the nation after NYSC.  A refreshment with the right delicacy spiced the day and sent everyone on their way smiling.

RCCF Sends Forth Her Batch A Corps Members in Style

The Redeemed Christian Corpers' Fellowship (RCCF) celebrated and sent forth her batch A corps members at the RCCF Family house, Ibadan on Wenesday 13th April, 2016. It was a thrilled event that attracted ex corps members, excos of the house, as well as other corps members serving in Oyo State.
There were several presentations from both batch B and A corps members, each which added colour to the event.  Awards in different categories were also presented to the batch A corps members.
Mouth watering refreshments as well as shared memories of the Batch A corps members on their service year experiences clouded the atmosphere and left everyone elated and happy.

We congratulate the passing out Corps Members and wish them well in their future endeavours.

Expectations For Passing-out Corps Members

Jubilations and encomium usually floods the passing out Parade ceremony of NYSC. Many corps members are always happy that today, "we have successfully climbed another step in our career".

Now that you have finished serving, copious expectations await you yourself, from your family members also from the society at large. As you are celebrating today, know that you are metamorphosing into the world at large to give out your best to the society.

Yes, you have today put off the Khaki, PPA being a thing of the past, CDS will no longer miss your presence. However, you should not seize to obey the clarion call, the call to lift our blessed nation high, the call to work hard all times and the call to be dedicated to all our duties. This are some of the messages that shouldn’t pass away with the POP.  Today our expectations are much, so you need to get set for the tasks ahead, don’t relax at this juncture because this is just a milestone and not the end of the journey.

Expectations from Yourself

I am sure that you have set amazing expectations for yourself. As some are preparing themselves for good job, others are analyzing and ruminating on how to start their own business and life. Some are yet to conclude on what to do after service, yet we all have expectations of a good life after this time. Know that life is not a bed of roses, you might not get your desired wishes as you planned for it; don’t lose hope, rather, get yourself together and move ahead.

Distinguished passing out corp member, don’t contribute to the liability of the country, think of how you can start small and grow big. Ensure you use the various skills you have learnt in life, school and NYSC through SAED to contribute meaningfully to your community.

Expectations from Your Family

My very dear passing out corps member, your family are waiting for you to make them proud. You have now put on the cap of responsibility. They expect you to have a better carriage of yourself, a more robust thinking and a problem solving mind. To some of us, they expect you to get serious with marital life, you are not getting younger by the day, they will acclaim.

Your family are expecting you to come back from service to the father-land and serve yourself and them better. Don’t allow their hope to run out on them, make them happy by having good ideas and not derailing from being responsible.

Expectations from the Society

Our passing out corps members, today Nigeria is blessed with another set of youths that would contribute to the growth of the country and not to the unemployed masses. It is our hope that after your service year, your immediate community will get the best out of your ability, your skills will be valuable to our nation. Contribute effectively to the making of our dear nation and not to mar it.

Together we can make this nation great again. This is the time to think about what we can do for our dear nation and not what the nation can do for us. Together we can make Nigeria Great.

Once again, I congratulate you for this stupendous achievement. Have a great future ahead.

From your brother and Friend.
