YOUR ORAL HYGIENE AND YOUR HEALTH

Poor oral health can affect your overall heath condition, how well you care for your teeth and gums will determine how healthy you will be. Neglecting your oral health leads to more than just sore teeth and bad breath- it can open the door to all sorts of health problems, including some nasty and deadly ones like oral cancer. 
How then can you properly manage your oral health?

  • Brushing  the teeth twice daily; The teeth should be brushed first thing in the morning and before going to bed at night .
  • Flossing of the teeth to prevent plaques.
  • Rinsing the mouth after using medication that can stain the teeth, for example, ferrous.
  • Avoiding excess sugary things like chewing gum and chocolate to avoid decay of the tooth.
  • Keeping up appointments with the dentist to check the state of the mouth.
Lifestyle and dietary habits like sugar consumption, smoking and constant intake of alcohol, to mention a few, does not just affect the teeth but also the heart, after all you are what you eat, so keeping the mouth health is needed. If all this is done and strictly adhered to there will be few cases of oral problems.
