NYSC OYO STATE SWEARS-IN CORPS MEMBERS

Over 2,000 members of the 2015 Batch B Stream 1 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) deployed to Oyo State, have been sworn-in by the Chief Judge of the State, Justice Muktar Abimbola.
The event took place at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp located in Iseyin Local Government Area of the state. The event commenced at the early hours of the date with corps members parade, followed by the swearing-in of corps members.
In his remarks, the Oyo State Governor Senator Isiaka Ajumobi who was represented by Otunba Moses Alake Adeyemi welcomed the corps members and urged them to be law abiding while serving in the state. He assured that the government will play its own part by looking after the welfare of the corps members.
The Oyo State NYSC Coordinator Mrs Olufunmilayo Akin-Moses in her speech welcomed the corps members and appealed to them to be creative and take advantage of the Skills Acquisition schemes provided on camp in order to be self-reliant in future.
She announced that a total of 2,215 corps members comprising of 1,140 boys and 1,075 females had been registered before the closing of the registration portal at about 11:59pm on Thursday October 29th, 2015.
Dignitaries present at the occasion included the Oyo state Governor who was represented by Otunba Moses Alake-Adeyemi; the NYSC State Coordinator, Mrs Olufunmilayo Akin-Moses; Chief Justice of Oyo State; Justice Muktar Abimbola; the Camp Director, Mrs OA Olusesi amongst others.
